Hey there, Fat Nugs Readers! Riana here, ready to dive down the New York Dispensary rabbit hole. I must be honest; I have struggled with how to write about the dispensaries in NY because I’ve fallen in love with all the humans owning and operating them.

This journey is pure love, and I hope to show these dispensaries and humans the respect they deserve. The company I work for is exploding with growth, and they've hired a new rep for Western NY. It only feels right to start in Buffalo and work across the state.

Downtown Buffalo: Premier Earth Dispensary

Premier Earth is in downtown Buffalo. When I pull up out front and look to my left, I see a beautiful buffalo mural. A vibrant, colorful, and welcoming vibe has been set. Walking in through two big old double doors, I’m greeted by a friendly security guard. Be ready to show your ID!

After passing the vibe check (ahem, ID check) I pass through two double doors. The first thing I notice is the incredible emerald-poured epoxy floors - they're seriously stunning. Two happy faces behind the counter greeted me, ready to answer any questions.

I had placed a preorder, so I chatted and heard about a cat that defies gravity and runs along walls. I wander to the pickup window and am greeted by the store manager, PJ, who is ready with my preorder and is prepared to talk about our massive dogs. Ahhh, yes, the vibe here is always friendly, and I'm always happy to share canna knowledge or a pleasant story about beloved pets.

Depew, NY: Herbal IQ Dispensary

Herbal IQ sits cozily nestled in the heart of Depew, offering a retreat from Downtown that feels relaxed and less busy. As I approach, the quaint exterior gives an illusion of the wonderland that awaits me inside. I step up and to the front doors, and the sweet smell of perfectly cured cannabis wafts through the air.

At the entrance, I'm greeted with smiles by all the staff. Everyone here is passionate about the plant, as shown by their collected knowledge. After a quick check-in—yes, ID is mandatory no matter how old you “look”—I'm guided through their diverse product lineup by Bex, a manager who radiates positivity.

Before I know it, I'm in a glorious conversation about the New York market and all it offers. When I leave with a carefully selected strain and an invite to their next event, I'm not just educated—I'm excited to try a new product! The visit to Herbal IQ isn't just about buying cannabis; it's about becoming part of a community that celebrates every aspect of this beautiful plant.

Downtown: Dank 716 Cannabis Dispensary

Just down the way, I pop into 716 Cannabis, housed in a completely remodeled auto tech shop. The owner, John, and his team outfitted the old auto building into a groovy and inviting space. Once I passed the security desk and onto the sales floor, I noticed the live-edge raw wood utilized throughout the store. It's honestly incredible and makes the vibe feel homey. The shelves are thoughtfully laid out so even the newest consumers aren't overwhelmed.

The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable about each product. If you have questions, they have the answers and are excited to discuss what will best suit you and your needs. As I head out with my goodies, the staff all wish me a good day, and I leave with a little more pep in my step.

So, as I say tata for now to Buffalo, I carry a bag of premium goodies and a head full of memories of some of Buffalo's best humans. To all the incredible people I've met on this leg of my journey, thank you for opening your doors and hearts to me. I promise to visit soon. To my readers, keep following along as we explore more of New York's incredible cannabis culture. There's so much more to come, and I promise the trip is as rewarding as the destinations I visit. Stay tuned and stay elevated!
