Moldgate Retraction

I am writing to offer my sincere apologies for the Moldgate Article published in Fat Nugs Magazine on August 3rd, 2023. The article, authored by me, was intended to be a well-researched op-ed based on social research, cultivator interviews, and documentation from the OHA. However, I understand that it may have fallen short of accurately representing the industry's complexities and unintentionally caused offense.

First and foremost, I want to emphasize that I never intended to disparage anyone within the industry. My aim was to present the findings I had gathered in a responsible manner, but I regret that my approach may have been incomplete and misconstrued. I fully acknowledge the gravity of this situation, and I take full responsibility for any unintended harm caused.

In the future, I will exercise greater care to ensure that our articles are more thoroughly researched and thoughtfully presented. We value transparency in the industry and recognize the importance of fostering open discussions around the challenges we face together. Moving forward, we are committed to promoting accurate and constructive dialogue within our community.

I sincerely apologize to Medicinal Genomics and Harris Bricken for the inaccuracies and any harm caused by the article. Upon further research, we determined that Medicinal Genomics and Harris Bricken were not involved in the drafting or formulation of Oregon’s cannabis testing regulations. We have already taken down the article and related links as a gesture of respect.

We encourage and welcome further discussions on these important topics. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or any other Fat Nugs Magazine team members. We are here to listen, learn, and make amends.

Once again, I apologize for any unnecessary pain or problems our opinion piece may have caused. Our goal is to contribute positively to the industry, culture, and community, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that our future content reflects this commitment.

Sincerely,

Nigel and the Fat Nugs Magazine Team
