Organic Revolution: A Conversation with NubsFarms on Regenerative Farming and the Future of Cultivation

Introduction:

I take pleasure in interviewing individuals devoted to regenerative farming styles or who actively contribute to this movement by selling organic nutrients or amendments. In my view, it's crucial that we shift away from the harmful options that are all too common. While "natural" doesn't necessarily mean safe, and "synthetic" doesn't automatically imply danger, we must acknowledge that many newer sprays and pesticides are untested for smoking. This concern arises from a significant lack of evidence demonstrating the safe combustion, vaporization, and inhalation of numerous synthetic compounds. Most of the existing evidence regarding pesticides pertains to their restricted use in consumable products, not plants we smoke.

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with Trenton & Dave from NubsFarms, a company on a mission to make future generations healthy by preventing the sickness and diseases that plague our world. Through organic and healthy agriculture farming practices, they aim to shift traditional cultivation methods to cleaner, organic, and healthier growing practices. After three years in the business, they are now moving into sales with large farms and local stores. Their spiritual beliefs and warrior-like determination are driving them towards a better future.

Q&A:

Alex: Can you share a bit about your journey with Nubsfarms LLC? What inspired you to start this company? How has it evolved over the years?

Trenton: I was working as a CNC machinist making missiles for our government, but I knew I needed to do something more positive with my life. Initially, I considered starting a cannabis farm, but the challenges led me to focus on organic fertilizers. My partner Dave, who is disabled, and I began brainstorming, and now we're getting ready for CanniFest in Humboldt County, California. We feel like part of a family, and the majority of our products come from Northern California. We're problem solvers, and we're here to make things simple for farmers.

Alex: What's your vision for the future of farming, and how do you see Nubsfarms contributing to that vision?

Trenton: The future is coming, and we can see it. Everyone will want to grow their food, clean and organically. We're the guys bringing these products to the public to help more and more farms and families change. The old conventional methods are poisoning our land and families, and new organic regenerative methods must be used.

Alex: What is your ‘take’ on Neem Oil or other oils commonly used?

Trenton: We don't use oils. Oil can block all the stomata on the plants or leaves and is hard to clean off. We prefer citric acids, enzymes, and beneficial microbes. We offer convenient options for natural farmers who don't want to use oils or harmful sprays. There's no data on smoking oils that show it's safe, and they can block nutrient uptake.

Alex: Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Trenton: I found my happiness and purpose, and I think my partner has too. We're a great team with our families, and that's what it's all about. We're here to support all the farms, saving you money and time. We're a family-only run company. I have people call me once a week to say that I improved their weeks. Be positive and uplifting, help others, and the world, happiness spreads like wildfire.
