Trojan Horse Cannabis: Gummy Review

A trojan horse isn't typically something you'd be overjoyed to see show up at your house. It has a long history shrouded in mystery. This trojan horse isn't that but it is a mystery how they pack such a huge punch in such a small vessel. After looking over their website I was immediately engulfed by the nostalgia of "Orange Creamsicle". My heart was ready to burst by the time the package got to me and so I dug in immediately!
Who is Trojan Horse Cannabis?
Trojan Horse was born in 2018 with one goal, to feel better. We all know that as of July 2023 cannabis is still federally illegal. As they [Trojan] put it, “We wanted to redefine the industry” and they’re doing exactly that. Their products are federally compliant which means anyone over the age of 21 in any state can get their plant medicine. Those of us who use cannabis regularly really depend on being able to have our medicine without fear of jail time. When Chris Fontes founded Trojan Horse Cannabis, “he knew it had to be about more than just Cannabis”. Five years later they still operate with the same goals and values in mind.
Taste & Texture
Now then, these are hands down the best-tasting edibles I’ve had. If you didn’t tell me I wouldn’t even know they were infused until it kicked in. Considering these are live resin I was surprised, to say the least. The texture is so important to me. What good is an edible if it’s so off-putting you don’t want to eat it? These are incredibly smooth, they have a consistency I can only describe as a luxury candy. I would eat way too many of these if given the chance.
Packaging
Packaging normally isn't the most exciting part, but they did a great job making the art on the bags look exactly how it makes you feel. From the art to the sleek sexy look of the jars I'd say it's 10/10 and highly recommended. I oftentimes find the art on cannabis products can feel out of place, cheap, or just childish, so I was so happy that wasn't the case here. It feels like they know their audience because I was pulled in. Of course, the bags have that lovely child-resistant zipper we all love to hate. I only wish there was more of an edge at the top to grab so I didn’t have to use my nails.
Relaxation of a lifetime
I read about these gummies so much beforehand that I felt confident I knew what I was doing. Even after reading through the COA'S they sent I was sure I knew what I was signing up for. These gummies laughed in my face and kicked my ass for the next several hours.
The live resin gummies are intended to be split into ten doses at 3mg D9, 0.33mg CBDa, 3.33mg other cannabinoids. I did not split them and took the whole gummy, I was in no way prepared. I took it at around 10AM and sat on the couch waiting for it to kick in. An hour later I found myself staring into oblivion, relaxed, and I’m pretty sure I was sleeping with my eyes open. I’m really excited to try them for PMS & period pain. The effects and dosing seem like the perfect option.
They also offer D9-only gummies in that same amazing orange creamsicle flavor. They are 15mg a piece and offer a milder experience in comparison, but don’t let that fool you. These are small but mighty, with a perfect balance of a head and body high. The dose is perfectly manageable during the day, but depending on your tolerance, you might feel a little extra relaxed and cozy.
The cherry on top
These most definitely won a spot in my stash, no questions asked. I love how deeply I was able to relax, I'm sure my soul sighed. I admire the passion they have for making plant medicine accessible to everyone. The fact that they also sent me paper COA’s for each product I received really stood out to me. That really shows the values they operate with, and we need more people like them.
